Speed and Power Camp

 

Sports Fitness Hut's Speed and Power Camp

Mark Dilworth, PES, CPT and Former NCAA Division I Athlete

August 2-5, 2011, Pflugerville Middle School practice fields

High School Athlete Camp, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. 

Skill Level Needed:  Intermediate to Advanced


 

 


Who should attend:  Players who want to improve speed and power in field or court sports like baseball, basketball, football, lacrosse and soccer.   Players will improve:

--Dynamic Flexibility, Dynamic Balance and Coordination

--Core Strength – Age appropriate core strength and power exercises

--Running Mechanics

--Playing Speed– starting, acceleration, stopping, cutting, agility, quickness, reaction, stride length and stride rate

--Power– Age appropriate power drills (plyometrics) to improve speed strength of muscles. 

--What to Bring:  Water, rubber cleats, sneakers.  A camp t-shirt will be provided to each camper.  Campers must wear t-shirt every day during session.

--Liability:  Each camper (parent) will be required to sign a release of liability form prior to camp participation.  The form will be emailed to you.
